The MARTIN Band Instrument Company was established around the turn of the century
by the sons of John Henry Martin, among them Charles Henry Martin. The factory burned down
in the great Chicago fire and was re-established in 1906. In 1971 Leblanc purchased all of
the Martin assets, including registered trademarks, copyrights, patents, engineering
records, and tooling.
