*The following information was provided by Mark Pinner (August 1999):
I am the proud owner of a Leblanc Paris Alto saxophone. It is a 'le rationnel' made by M. Houvenaghel. The serial number is 1135 and I have only seen 1 other here in Sydney. Both are silver plated with nickel silver keywork.
It would seem that Leblanc only made saxophones for a short period between 1950 and 1953 and they are all of the above design. I do not have an exact date but I am pretty sure that this is the only time period when Leblanc made saxophones in Paris.
