(Born Oct. 14, 1781 - Died London Jan. 23, 1839) Henry Hill was an English maker and music publisher who worked with T . Monzani from 1808 - 1829 (then known as Monzani and Hill). He took over the business afer Monzani retired in 1829. Hill held the patent and manufactured the "New Improved German Flute" and "Durable Clarinet". In 1839 he was succeeded by his son (Henry Hill , the younger). It is reported that Cornelius Ward worked for him.
