The Hardy Co. has manufactured piccolos for several other companies including Selmer, Armstrong, Emerson, etc. The Hardy piccolo is unique in that it has an offset C# key. The Hardy Co. manufactures piccolos in plastic, wood, and metals. As a point of identification, around serial number 28,600 the tapered pivot point was abandon for a straight pilot style. The serial number of their first piccolo was 1000.
