THE MUSIC TRADER is a full service retail music store located in Maple Valley, Washington (about 15 miles SE of Seattle). We are currently in our 12th year of operation in Maple Valley. In December of 2004 we moved back across the street, to our original location, next to the El Chaporal Mexican Restaurant in the "GOODWILL" strip mall. Within this 5000 sq. ft. retail space is our 1500 sq. ft. full-service musical instrument repair facility, where we are able to perform virtually every repair task from basic preventive maintenance to complete restorations on all instruments in the Woodwind, Brasswind, Violin Family, Fretted Instrument, and Percussion families.

Please note that all new Brasswind & Woodwind instruments purchased at THE MUSIC TRADER automatically come with an extended 24-month warranty, insuring you that, in the event routine maintenance should be required, this will be provided to you without charge. All new Percussion & Stringed instruments purchased at THE MUSIC TRADER automatically come with an extended 12-month warranty, insuring you that, in the event routine maintenance should be required, this will be provided to you without charge.

Unique to THE MUSIC TRADER is our 24 Month -- Interest-Free -- Rent to Own Plan.
This interest free plan allows you to own your instrument after only 24 months. Many other music stores will charge a similar monthly fee to ours, but for 36 months, not 24 months! That adds up to a full years payments going as interest. Additionally, all routine maintenance at THE MUSIC TRADER is included in the rental plan without additional charge.
WHY RENT YOUR NEXT INSTRUMENT FROM THE MUSIC TRADER?
For customers who are unsure whether or not their child is in band or orchestra for the long-run, and are not comfortable making a commitment to purchase an instrument, we offer high quality, name brand musical instruments for month-to-month rental. Our minimum rental period for this option is 3 months, after which time, you may continue on a month-to-month basis, or convert to a rent-to-own, or purchase a new instrument outright at a significant discount. All instruments on a straight rental plan are covered by our routine maintenance plan without additional charge. All new brasswind and woodwind instruments which are purchased on a rent-to-own, or outright purchase plan come with a 24 month extended warranty, without extra charge.
